A very happening tap house in Monmouth, OR with some great live music to entertain the whole family!
This spot really livens up Monmouth's downtown!
Calling all Party Tots! If you're looking for a fun night out with the Fam complete with live music, great food, and a variety of drink options for the grown-ups, then look no further. Dry Town Tap Station in Monmouth knows how to throw a great party...for all ages!
Dry Town is a converted gas station and the owners have done an amazing job of bringing the space into the kick-ass present. The name, Dry Town, pays homage to the City of Monmouth's "dry" past which outlawed the sales of alcohol in supermarkets, restaurants, and bars until 2002 when the ban was ended by popular vote. See, this blog isn't just fun - it's educational, too! :)
The Tots Crew visited Dry Town Tap Station on a Friday evening to see the Boondocks Boys' concert. We have seen these guys play three times now at different venues (Salt Creek Cider House & French Prairie Gardens) and they always bring the fun! We brought Tots Grandma and Tots Grandpa along with us too. It was a packed house but we were able to find the last remaining picnic table on the patio (winning!) The atmosphere was super lively so you don't need to worry about trying to keep your tots quiet during a visit to Dry Town, especially when they have live music. Their patio space is HUGE so there's room for your tots to bust a move and interpretive dance to their hearts' content.
Dry Town hosts a very diverse line-up of live music and live comedy shows on their outdoor stage. They have a food truck on site that makes some amazing fish tacos, burgers, and chicken banh mi sandwiches. And don't forget the fries! Super yummy and tot-approved. The portions are large so you can absolutely share. They have a really nice tap list as well as spirits; they even had these super fun grown-up slushies! They have soft drinks and a water station for the kiddos. On a regular day at Dry Town (i.e. when there's not live music) it's still an awesome spot to visit. There's a ton of outdoor seating, lawn games, and they have an amazing, and huge, outdoor firepit table that will keep you warm on those cooler, breezy evenings.
One of the nicest things about Dry Town is that it is located right next to a city park with a fountain and play place. So if you have a tot who isn't into the fun going on at Dry Town, then you have another great entertainment option.
What to expect when you visit:
Tons of outdoor seating with shade complete with firepits and lawn games
Awesome line-up of live music (check their IG and Facebook often!)
Adjacent park for tots to play
Great array of drink options for grown-ups
Located in historic downtown Monmouth...which is so cute!
Their outdoor area is dog-friendly. WOOF!
No outside food please
No changing table or high chairs so just plan ahead with a back-up plan
